Geographic Information Systems (GIS) allows ERS to efficiently and effectively assess the biophysical nature of a project site and convey the gathered data in the form of easy to understand maps and datasets to stakeholders. The GIS capabilities of ERS include, but are not limited to:
- Environmental permitting needs assessment including wetlands, protected species and mitigation bank permitting.
- Spatial analysis, mapping and reporting including existing site analysis, Florida Land Use Cover and Forms Classification System (FLUCFCS), current and historical aerial photographs and wetlands.
- GIS/GPS field integration for preliminary ecological assessment mapping, preliminary wetland delineation and gopher tortoise population density analysis and permitting.
- General customized street and parcel mapping.
- Database design and management.
