The developement of school sites is often more challenging then other types of land use. The difficulty stems from a combination of relatively small sites and a need for relatively large facilities, meaning that avoiding or even minimizing impacts to natural resources may not be a viable option.
ERS has provided consultation services for nearly two dozen school sitesin northeast Florida. Typical ERS services include ecological assessments of proposed school sites; wetland delineation and agency verfication; state and federal wetlands permitting assistance; mitigation planning and design; and, as applicable, protected species surveying, permitting and relocation.
